On International Women's Day, Freelancing Gems hosted an empowering panel discussion with a group of exceptional women. The event was a huge success, with 251 guests in attendance, and the energy in the room was electric. The panel tackled a range of important topics, including the gender pay gap, quotas for women, domestic violence, challenges faced by rural businesswomen, and the lack of VC funding for female founders. They also discussed women in politics, confidence, power, and how to elevate the stories and voices of First Nations businesswomen, as well as superannuation and much more.
The event was moderated by Fleur Madden, and the panelists included Kara Cook, Susannah George, Alana Kennedy, QChiefEntrepreneur, and Sianna Catullo. Each woman shared her journey, truth, and wisdom, inspiring and empowering everyone in the room.
The event raised just under $7,500 for the Forgotten Women Foundation!
